Winter Park Trip

We finally got the chance to head up to Winter Park and get Kenzie on the slopes! We decided she was old enough for ski school, and she loved it. She's a pro! Of course, she had no problem leaving Mom and Dad and going with total strangers for the day, she was actually talking about how excited she was to make new friends at ski school!

The instructors took her out first on the black rugs, had her walk up those and ski down the tiny hill, once they mastered that, she got to go up the "magic carpet" and ski down the bigger hill, she did great! It was so much fun to watch her learn how to ski!

Inside the house, nice and warm

Skiing like a pro!

Oops! Close one!

The next day, we decided to take the kids sledding, unfortunately there aren't many good hills for sledding around there, so we found a company that has a HUGE hill to sled down. When I saw how big it was I was a little worried that Kenzie would get scared or it would be too much for her....quite the opposite! She was so excited to go! Maddie was too little for this, so Dave stayed with her at the bottom of the hill. This hill is so big you have to take the "magic carpet" up. Once we got to the top, we looked down. I asked her if she was sure she wanted to do this. There was no hesitation at all, and down we went...SCARY! She loved every second!
