Me: "Kenzie, look there's a lion!" Kenzie: "Mom, help me climb this rock!"
Me: "Kenzie, come see the zebra!" Kenize: "Mom, look how many benches they have!"...and yes, she has to sit on EVERY SINGLE bench. But I went so she could see her cousins, she just adores them. Maybe it will get better when Maddie gets a little older, but every time I go, I swear I won't go again...Oh well, we had fun, and that's all that counts!

Sigh. I hear you. The older they get they are a little more interesting but really- they don't like to stand and watch them they like to glance and then keep going unless we are lucky enough to catch them doing something interesting. Let's face it- there's really not anything exciting about a giraffe or a rhino that is just sitting there. We've found the monkey exhibits to be the most exciting and always visit that side of the zoo first and often just go home after that. Ours does have a great kids zoo with pony rides and water to play in and a petting zoo and an aviary where you can hold bird feed and the birds will land ON you! Maybe you should come with US to the zoo. You know we are the better cousins ;) WAY too hot for that now though.

I wish my kids had cousins close by, Half the fun is who you go with not where you go! So I love the picture of Maddie on the side of your blog. She may be trouble but at least she's cute trouble!!
